California Youth Choir Tour
The Jubilate Deo Choir, the premier choir of Canticle, Inc. is based in San Diego and was founded in 2018, at the request of Archbishop Cordileone. This Youth Schola of more than sixty students has weekly classes throughout the school year and trains in Gregorian chant and sacred polyphony, as well as traditional hymnody in Spanish and English. In addition to building a strong core repertoire of sacred music, students are also given opportunities to learn the basics of choral conducting and composition. These bright young students are our future Catholic choir directors in formation.
Students are highly motivated to evangelize for our Catholic faith and demonstrate their love for Christ and His Church. From smaller groups to the full choir, they appear at various parishes, civic events and outreach to prolife causes throughout California by invitation.
For the first time ever, a cohort of members from the Jubilate Deo Choir will be going on tour in California. The students were generously invited to come sing at The Napa Institute, where the Tour will begin. After the Napa Institute, the students will be making their way slowly back down to Southern California by stopping at different parishes and homes for both Masses and concerts. The students are very excited to be sharing their love and knowledge of sacred music throughout the state.
Your generous donation enables these students and their drivers to have the following things covered: hotel lodging, meal coverage, and gas reimbursements. Any donations received are most gratefully appreciated!
Whether or not you can give monetarily, please pray for us, and feel free to add prayer intentions and we will pray for you!
All donations made via our GofundMe under this campaign are 100% Tax Deductible. GofundMe also sends you a Thank You letter with stated amount and beneficiary but it is just a confirmation, not a receipt.
