Call for Donations: Help Flood Victims in Bangladesh
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Nadira from Bangladesh doing my DPhil at the University of Oxford, UK. Many of you may have heard about the recent flood in Bangladesh. This is one of the most severe natural calamities in recent years affecting more than 4 million people in 11 districts.
- In some areas in the northeastern part of Bangladesh, water levels have reached heights not seen in the past 50 years, according to data from the Bangladesh Water Development Board's Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC).
- as of today’s news, at least 13 people have been killed and 4.5 million affected by floods (Aljazeera 23 aug ’24).

So, we, the Bangladeshi students and affiliates at the University of Oxford, are raising funds to provide immediate assistance and post-flood rehabilitation of the flood victims.
Your participation will be highly appreciated. Your donation will enable us to provide essential supplies such as food, clean water and medical assistance to the flood victims.
We are currently listing the families in need in three different districts with the help of local volunteers and non-profit voluntary organisations. The donations will be distributed among them through them for post-flood rehabilitation purposes.
Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference!
