2024 September Update:
Dear Supporters,

We want to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for your tremendous support during these difficult times. Your help has been a true source of strength for us as we face the tough circumstances we’re going through.

Unfortunately, losing our home was just the start of new challenges. With the Rafah crossing closed and the situation in Gaza worsening, it has become increasingly difficult for us to manage our finances. Although we had plans to improve our situation after the loss of our home, the current conditions have led to higher living costs and unexpected expenses, making us in urgent need of additional support.

We are raising our fundraising goal to address these challenges. This increase will help us cover living expenses during these tough times and compensate for the losses we’ve faced due to the destruction of our home. Your continued support will be crucial in helping us meet our children’s needs and regain some stability in our lives.

We understand these are challenging times for everyone, but we kindly ask for your ongoing support and help in sharing our campaign. Every donation and share brings us closer to the hope of starting anew and overcoming the difficulties we face.

Thank you once again for all the care and support you’ve shown us. We promise to stay strong and determined to overcome these hardships and look forward to a new beginning with your help.

Warm regards,
Haneen and Mohammed

Under the blue skies of Gaza, where joy and sorrow mix, our family stands strong. I'm Haneen, a teacher who believes in the power of education to change young lives. My husband, Mohammed, is a dedicated nurse at Al-Shifa Hospital, committed to helping others even in tough times.

Our kids, Mira, 7, full of big dreams, and Kenan, 4, the picture of innocence, represent our hope for the future. Together, we've aimed to make a difference in our community through health and education, hoping for a brighter future.

But on October 7th, everything changed. The conflict in Gaza forced us to constantly move in search of safety, ending up in Rafah, a temporary safe spot amidst turmoil.

This conflict halted our careers. I had to leave my classroom and students, and Mohammed's left his work as a nurse as we moved for safety in the southern Gaza strip.

In the third week, we lost our home in Al-Jalaa, a victim of the widespread destruction that took away years of memories and hard work. This home was more than a building to us; it was where our family's love and dreams lived, now gone.

Rafah, our current refuge, now faces threats too. We struggle daily for basic needs like water and food, living under the shadow of insecurity.

Despite this, we're determined to leave Gaza for Egypt, seeking a peaceful and normal life for Mira and Kenan, away from fear and chaos.

We need your help to make this dream of peace and safety a reality. Your support and donations can help us move towards a new beginning, where hope is a part of our daily lives.
Your dontations will help us to pay the evaculation fees from Gaza to Rafah and with travel expenses
We deeply thank everyone who helps us, promising to stay strong and hopeful, for our kids, our community, and for a better world.
