Callan Covid-19 Charity Fundraiser
Welcome to the Callan Covid Caper fundraising page, here you’ll find part one and two of the Callan Covid Caper by clicking the Read More option below.
The Callan Support Group was established towards the end of March in response to the escalation of the Covid-19 pandemic. The objective of the group is to deliver groceries, medication, and other essentials to those in the community who were cocooning. What started out as a delivery service became much more. The Covid-19 crises brought community groups and local businesses together for a common goal and this was to assist the vulnerable and elderly within our community and surrounding areas.
Three charities were chosen to be the beneficiaries of The Callan Covid-19 Charity Fundraiser- “Callan Covid Capers” a short comedy filmed in Callan, you can watch it on Facebook , Twitter , Youtube or on the VisitCallan website .
If you can't donate on-line you can also donate locally by calling into Callan Post Office.
Why we chose these charities: We realise each service plays an integral role within the community. We also are aware of the difficulties in generating capital to run these vital facilities. The critical need for PPE equipment within these organisations has put a serious strain on finances due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Our aim is to raise as much funds as possible in order to assist all three charities to purchase PPE gear and to off-set any expenses incurred since the start of the covid-19 crises.
All three charities rely heavily on funding and donations to continue their services so please donate what you can.
