Calling all La Brioche Patrons : We need your help
Donation protected
As expats from France , we opened La Brioche to bring the very best of French baked goods to our chosen home in Norfolk . We just celebrated five years at our current Granby Street location and have built a strong following of loyal customers, like you.
We knew that in 2024 the City of Norfolk will refurbish the sidewalks and the underground networks in front of our beloved bakery .
This would eliminate parking in front and make it a hassle for our customers for two years at least.
We try to renegotiate our lease, withouts success, under these conditions it would have been the end of La Brioche.
That is why we have decided to relocate to the heart of Ghent, at 1415 Colley Avenue.
this new location will be walkable from the Naro Theater and many small shops and restaurants, as well as Norfolk public schools and EVMS. Although we are very much looking forward to being part of Ghent community, the cost to move is upwards of $160,000.
it’s difficult for us to finance through the bank given our non-immigrant E2 Visas.
If you love La Brioche, please help us relocate. Any donation amount is much appreciated.
Sincerely,Jackie and Yvan .
