Callum Emerson and Family

Hi, my name Jessie. I’m Callum’s mom. Late at night on Saturday, November 18th, Callum suffered a stroke. I took him to the ER, but he was misdiagnosed and we were sent home. We spent more than two weeks looking for an answer to find out that he had experienced a stroke that night and had continued having more since. We were immediately admitted to Logan Children’s Hospital in Kalispell, where we did more imaging and testing to find out the why/how and develop a plan for treatment.

We’ve learned a lot, but still have a lot of unanswered questions and lots more testing and appointments to do over the next few months.

There are lots of things we’re changing in our home and in Callum’s daily life to keep him safe. All these changes, along with medical bills and prescription costs, and Zach and I missing so much work has really put us in a tight spot, financially. Like so many people, inflation and housing costs had already put a strain on our finances the last couple years and this situation definitely hasn’t helped.
