Help Callum Schlup beat cancer

Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Aleesa Schlup. In September of 2023 my family discovered a tumor on my nephew, Callum’s, shoulder. He underwent surgery, and was later diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a childhood cancer that requires aggressive treatment. His first day of chemotherapy was on Wednesday, October 25th, 2023, and doctors expect him to need about 6 months of chemo. This treatment requires extensive hospital stays, and Callum will be spending over half of the next six months in the hospital.

Our family is in shock, and we can’t believe this is happening. Not even two months ago was any of this on our radar, and it’s as if the tumor appeared overnight.

Deanna, my sister-in-law has quit her job to take Callum to his treatment and follow up appointments, and my brother, Eric, is having to take off work to be present for the many chemo sessions and hospital stays. With insurance limitations and uncovered time off, our family is asking for help to offset medical bills, as well as transportation costs to go back and forth between home and Akron Children’s Hospital and University Hospital in Cleveland. We wouldn’t wish this on anyone, and we thank you for keeping us in your thoughts as Callum sets off on his journey to beat cancer.
