Help Calypso Moon grow, thrive, & create community

Hi my name is Keturah and I was born and raised in Sacramento California. I am a mother, partner, certified Reiki practitioner (master level/teacher), sound healer, herbalist, and traditional shamanic practitioner (in training). I am raising money to help grow my small business and create more opportunities to help give back to the community.

I currently rent a small studio space to serve the community and a larger studio to host community gatherings. I’m a part of a wellness collective at Center Seven and have been there almost 3 years. This space is unfortunately no longer available to any of us at the collective so I have to find a new space beginning in April. With short notice to us, it’s been a challenge to secure a new space.

In 2013 I began diving into the world of herbalism for my own health and wellness, then to help my friends & family. In 2016 I started my herbal wellness business (Calypso Moon Essentials) and began creating organic plant medicines for the community. I began learning energy work in 2018 and offering my services in 2020.

My first priority is to be able to continue working one on one with my current clients. And continue offering sacred gatherings for the community alongside likeminded facilitators. And adding intimate healing/learning circles, workshops, and courses for the community. As well as continuing to offer plant medicines and healing tools.

As a Black woman who works in the wellness world, I feel it is vitally important for the BIPOC community to have access to wellness practitioners that fully understand them. Representation matters. And I want as many others to know that they too have access to these wonderful alternative healing modalities as well.

I’m very passionate about creating community gatherings that are accessible, safe, and enjoyed by all. Regardless of means. Spreading love and creating a safe and inclusive space means everything to me.

These donations would be used to help me secure a space, and purchase all the necessary items needed to continue providing a comforting and welcoming experience for all who come to Calypso Moon. Including materials, supplies for workshops/circles, shelving, healing instruments and tools, mats, blankets, chairs, etc.
