Cam and Erin need transportation!
Donation protected
Folks, my son Cameron and his fiancée Erin need your help. At about 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning, a drunk driver plowed into the back of Cameron’s parked car, slamming it into Erin’s car and slamming her car into the neighbor’s truck parked in front of hers. Cameron’s car was hit so hard the front windshield cracked, and something fell off the undercarriage. This is the third time Erin’s car has been hit. Both cars are likely totaled, leaving them without transportation. Cameron’s is not drivable and Erin’s does not sound good when it starts. She still owes on her car and will likely have to continue making payments on a car she can no longer drive. She does not have gap insurance to cover the difference in value versus what she owes. Cameron’s car is older and not worth much, so we are uncertain what it will take to get him into a decent safe vehicle.
The ironic thing is they are both living happy, sober lives and yet alcohol has invaded their peace and created an obstacle they did not deserve.
They have a rare deep compassion for folks who struggle with addiction. Erin even invited the drunk driver into their home to stay warm while they waited for the police to arrive.
These two beautiful people need transportation to get to and from work and to just live life. They are in the midst of planning a lovely wedding in October and are looking forward to a new life. This unexpected huge expense could really set them back.
I know our pocket books are running very low after the holidays, and if you have a few bucks to throw their way, it could really make a difference.
