Camara Tanzania for Girls Education
I am excited to be fundraising for Camara Education www.camara.org/in Tanzania, a highly effective charity that transforms Life Opportunties in Africa by providing computers, teacher training and innovative learning programmes in schools to enhance education, especially for girls. This funding will enable the children in the Dunda Secondary School access to a new computer lab/e-Learning centre.
How can you help? 100% of your contribution will go towards making a real difference to these children.
The €5000 raised will fund an e-Learning centre, training and support for Dunda Secondary school in the in the Pwani Region of Tanzania about 60km north of Dar es Salaam. The sponsorship will provide:
• 25 PCs.
• 1 networked classroom server.
• 1 AVS (voltage stabiliser).
• 5 days of ICT Skillbuilder face-to-face training for up to 6 teachers.
• Free access to the Camara Learning Academy platform where teachers can continue their online professional development.
• Access to digital learning materials and video-based content aligned to the local curriculum.
• Maintenance and technical support for 4 years.
Some students at the school may never have even seen a computer before, and the lab also provides vital content, when books are often hard to come by. The local server allows offline access to a huge range of content, lets students study and complete assessments.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this charity that means so much to me.
