As we launched Akos over the last 2 years, we have become close with our friends and partners in Cambodia.
“Tens of thousands of Cambodians are going hungry under the country’s strict lockdown as Covid cases continue to rise amid criticism from human rights groups that the government and the UN are being too slow to act.” The Guardian, May 13th
The Goal: try to feed as many families as possible leveraging our current network on the ground.
We are setting this operation up to be absolutely transparent. We have a Cambodian partner on the ground that can handle the logistics and deliveries.
For $50.00 US, we can keep a family fed for 2 weeks with the following package:
20Kg Rice
20 Eggs
4 tins of fish
20 packages of noodles
2 bottles of oil
2 bottles of soy sauce
2 kg sugar
Every penny of the funds raised here will be wire transferred from the Akos account Monday morning to our local partner in Cambodia, where he can begin deliveries. We will keep a detailed accounting of this, and make an attempt to get a picture of every single family receiving their food, along with information about the family you directly supported. Akos will cover all wire transfer and banking fees incurred.
The entire Akos team is individually each covering a family each, but to expand our reach, we are asking for a little help.
