Cambridge Tea House employee assistance fund
The governor of Ohio has ordered restaurants to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We, the owners of a local small business, are asking for your help for our employees.
The incredible employees of the Cambridge Tea House are in a terrible situation, through no fault of their own. They rely on the restaurant for wages and tips and our small, family-owned restaurant can’t afford to offer paid time off if not operating.
They are able to apply for unemployment, but this benefit is not immediate, and does not cover every expense of our loyal employees and their families.
If you want to support your neighbors in this time of crisis, and the wonderful people who make and serve the food at your favorite Teahouse; please consider donating. Your donations will be given directly to the hourly employees of the Teahouse affected by this shutdown.
Hopefully we’ll be making you a hot cup of tea and a scone very soon!
(I am Sarah Jackson, co-owner and chef of the Cambridge Tea House in Marble Cliff, Ohio. This campaign is to collect funds for the employees of my establishment whom we cannot keep on payroll due to our inability to operate normally underrestrictions because of the COVID19 pandemic.
I will withdraw donated funds and distribute them evenly to each employee who has lost their job and needs assistance. I will do so via Zelle, Venmo, or check depending on the preference of the employee.)
