Laptops for Children

Due to the government lockdown, the majority of children are now learning from home.

The results from a recent survey amongst schools in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire tell us that despite the investment made by the government through its Digital Devices schemes, there are still far too many children and young people across the two authorities who are being disadvantaged because they do not have the IT equipment and resources they need to maintain continuity in their education whilst they are not in school.

We have identified around 8,000 children in this situation.  Our aim is to ensure that no child continues to be educationally disadvantaged in this way.  You can help make a real difference to a child’s future life chances.

A contribution of £325.00 will buy a child a fully working laptop with windows.

A contribution of £180 for a 4G router which includes a multi-network SIM, with data for up to 12 months to enable users to access the internet no matter where they live or which broadband suppliers operate in that area.

We'd like to say thank you for your support in advance, if you do decide to donate, you will be helping to make a difference to the lives of children and young people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
