Camden Mark Lewis

Hi, my name is Dexter Lewis I’m Camden’s father. Camden hasn’t been feeling well since October 26th. He came home from school with an upset tummy. We thought it was just a stomach bug that had been going around. We took him to the hospital on the 30th to get fluids, he was dehydrated from throwing up and having diarrhea. The next day he seemed a lot better and was able to go trick or treating. He went to school the next day and gained an appetite back but diarrhea never cleared up. On the 8th he started throwing up again, so we took him to Gunnison hospital. They did a CT scan of his stomach and found that his colon was enlarged. They decided to transfer Camden to primary children's hospital by ambulance because they feared his colon could burst. After we arrived at primary children’s they diagnosed Camden with C-Diff. It’s a nasty stomach bacteria that has to be controlled with powerful antibiotics and time for everything to clear his body. They have called off the surgery team for the time being and he is improving. Camden does have insurance but they won’t cover everything. An we have had to buy him certain things to make him comfortable. Expenses for traveling, time off, and supplies we need at home to finish fighting this when he is discharged has added up quickly. Any contribution to help our family and get Camden what he needs to feel better would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone in advance.
