Camdon Bozell DOG BITE
Donation protected
Camdon Bozell, my great nephew, age 6 suffered a vicious pit bull attack at a relatives home on Saturday April 18. He bravely rode in the ambulance alone, because of Covid-19, to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. He underwent emergency surgery and was pieced back together by a plastic surgeon and taken to ICU for recovery. The surgeon said it was the second worse attack he had ever seen. He suffered a broken nose, skull fracture, possible nerve damage to the left side of his face and upper lip and many, many stitches. He will more than likely need more plastic surgery in the future along with counseling to recover emotionally from such a tragic experience. He said in recovery " I'm glad that dog didn't kill me, I didn't want to die." He will be discharged today, Monday April 20 and will continue to recover at home. Camdon lives with his mother Tristin Lent and sister Janessa age 9. As a single mother she works very hard to make ends meet cleaning houses and working part time as a receptionist. Not relying on others for help. We would like to raise enough money so that she does not have the extra anxiety about how she will pay the bills during Camdons recovery. When you are self employed there are no paid days off! She will undoubtedly need to take some time to be by Camdons side. They reside in Plainwell Michigan and Camdon is a 1st grader at Starr Elementary.
