Camelot Elementary ChristmasPJWish

Camelot Elementary School is a San Antonio school that serves a 90% impoverished population. My daughters' school serves as a sister school to Camelot and every year we make large donations to them. This year, we donated closely to 300 pairs of pajamas and breakfast items so these children will have ONE thing to open on Christmas morning. To most of them, this is the only Christmas gift they will get.

When we went to deliver the items, I asked the staff if they had anyone else donating the rest of the pajamas so every kid would get one. In a sad tone, the Assistant Principal told me that she had no idea where those pajamas would come from and that some kids would just have to go without... Without the only real Christmas gift they would get!

I couldn't even hide my tears as I heard that. One of the kids there told my daughters that Santa doesn't come to that side of town. That totally killed me.

So, here is the reason for this season! To bring a smile to these innocent children. The staff is hoping to have a schoolwide Polar Express day on Tuesday, December 20, 2016.

Please know that no donation is too small and if it is possible, donate as large as you can afford. Every penny will be used to buy clothing for the children. If we raise enough for the pajamas and have anything left over, we will use to buy uniforms and socks and jackets.
