Brain STA Bypass Surgery
Donation protected
Since I was 9 years I have had what I called "sloopy spells" where I lose complete feeling on my right side temporarily . Over the years I would see different neurologist to try to figure out what was wrong. In 2009 I was finally diagnosed with moyamoya. My neurologist at the time told me about the option of surgery but didn't provide me with a lot of hope when I inquired about the success rate. I decided then to not pursue the surgery. Recently my symptoms have gotten worse. My sister connected me to a neurologist who specializes in my condition in Houston . I completed an angiogram, CT Scan, and a MRI. All results came back the same. I have a significantly less amount of blood getting to left side of my brain. So my options were surgery or risk the chance of me having a major stroke. So as you can probably tell I have opted to do the surgery. I'm asking if you could find it in your heart to donate whatever amount you see fit. Your donation will go towards help with hospital bills, hotel, and food costs. I will have to stay in Houston for at least 2 weeks for the surgery and part of my recovery. Thank you for reading my story. God Bless!
