Cameron Buffkin’s Road to Recovery

My husband Cameron Buffkin had a heart attack last Wednesday 10/30. His widow maker was 100% blocked. He is in the 3% of people that survives this.. He is blessed to be here, god definitely had his hands all over him. That day he had a heart cath and had a stent put in.He was at high risk of having another one because the walls of his heart has weakened to 25. He was then told he had to wear a life vest for 3 months to monitor his heart and alert him if anything is going on. It would also shock him if he was to have another heart attack and stop breathing.. So we got the life vest and was discharged from grand strand hospital that Saturday 11/2. On Monday 11/4 he went into cardiac arrest while sleeping and the life vest shocked him and saved his life. Ambulance again rushed him to grand strand. On Tuesday 11/5 before lunch he went back into cardiac arrest and was once again shocked and saved by the vest. Then he was rushed in, to do another heart cath on Wednesday 11/6 and good results with no more blockages. But the walls of his heart are so weak that it was causing heart arrhythmia and causing his heart to stop. So Thursday 11/7 he was taken into surgery once again to get a defibrillator implanted, which is a pace maker. He is now struggling not only with pain and life changing events. But also a lot of stipulations. He is not allowed to use his left arm at all for weeks to come, then he can’t lift over 10 lbs, due to letting everything heal inside his heart. He will not able to return to normal life for 3 months. Because of going into cardiac arrest he is also not allowed to drive for 3 months..This is life changing to him.Everyone that knows Cameron knows he is a go getter and very hard working. This is going to be extremely hard for him. He is the bread winner for his family. This is to help take stress off of him and help get his bills payed during this process. So he can focus on his health and getting better, for his 5 children and his family.. We all love him and need him here with us. I have had several people reach out to me wanting to help him and his family. So that is why I created this page. We all really do appreciate everything that has been done so far, especially all the prayers sent up for him and us. We really do appreciate it all.. Thank you.
