Cameron Joyce Emergency Medical Bills
On April 11, 2020, my niece Cameron Joyce was traveling from Lubbock, Texas to her home in McKinney, Texas on Highway 287. It had been raining and at approximately 12:50pm, her Nissan Rogue hydroplaned about 5 miles south of Bowie, Texas, and just north of the Fruitland Bridge area, causing her to loose control of her vehicle. She went across the center median and then into oncoming traffic hitting a semi on the front driver side of her vehicle and the semi.
Cameron has major head trauma with swelling of the brain. She also has a broken left hip, and her pelvic area needs major repairs. Her left elbow took a hard hit as well as a badly broken wrist. Praying more damages do not come up. She was transported to Wise County Hospital and was intubated before being life flighted to John Pete Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas.
The pressure in her brain is severe. Last night they placed a brain bolt to monitor the pressure on her brain. This morning, the pressure in her brain went from a 20 to a 19, (good sign) they want it down to a 10 so they can do surgery to repair her hip and pelvic area which houses some main arteries. She took a few breathes on her own (another good sign).
They are talking to upper staff to see if they can get my sister, Renee Joyce, in to see her, but for the time being, we have only been able talk to her through FaceTime because of some very kind nurses, she is unresponsive at this time. And due to the COVID-19, she is alone.
Cameron has a very long road ahead of her and is fighting for her life! Her vehicle is completely totaled! And the medical bills are going to add up.
Please, if you are able to help, your donation will be greatly appreciated.
Prayers for my niece and her family are needed, we have a long road ahead.
I will do everything I can to keep you all updated.
Thank you all for your generosity and kindness.
