Montana Tanzania Exchange by Cameron Pecunies
Tax deductible
Hello, my name is Cameron Pecunies and this upcoming summer, I have an opportunity to travel to Africa to help build a soccer pitch for New Vision School and Sports Academy, a school founded by a former Bozeman soccer coach, in an underserved community in Arusha, Tanzania. We are fundraising to cover the cost of the materials and supplies for the soccer pitch we will be constructing, referee and injury prevention training, and other supplies for the school and building improvements. We will be there for 17 days in July and will spend our days working on the field, providing relevant training and generally trying to improve their programs. The work is going to be strenuous but rewarding, and I will be there with my coaches and peers, and with engineering students from the Colorado School of Mines. When we are not working on the field or other related projects, we will be running a soccer camp for the younger children in the community.
The Montana Tanzania Exchange is international soccer and civil service exchange and an opportunity for all of us to experience and share in one another's cultures. If you are interested in learning more, please message me and I will send you more information.
I would appreciate your support in helping me raise the funds to cover my contribution to this volunteer program. If you wish to donate, all donations are tax-deductible through the 501c3 organization, Gallatin Performance Academy dba the Gallatin Futbol Foundation (tax ID 83-3611480), that is managing this project. Our overall goal is $130,000 which will help ensure that the facilities and programs we are building can be sustained. All money donated will be put to use building a soccer pitch in Tanzania and sponsoring the participants.
