Camfield Roof Appeal
Donation protected
Camfield is for people who find themselves homeless, often through unexpected life events. It offers a safe and stable place to live for up to two years, giving support to individuals to build confidence and skills before moving to a more independent home. There are opportunities to share experiences and make friends in the house. The staff are there to help and above all to listen.
Being homeless often leads to isolation from family or friends and can leave individuals vulnerable and feeling very alone. Sadly, even after 50 years, the demand for a facility like Camfield does not seem to go away - all 24 rooms are currently occupied.
The spread out nature of the building allows all bed-sitting rooms to have natural light and an outlook onto the lovely grounds or to the allotments behind.
However it also means that it has a large flat roof…which has reached the end of its life. Your donation will help us bridge the gap between our resources and the total cost. And will help us continue with our work for many years to come.
Note: Camfield is operated by Crawley Friends Housing Association Ltd. a Community Benefit Society, regulated by the FCA. registration number: IP18128R
