Helping Cami Make Ends Meet

Cami has been unable to work due to the emotional trauma and grief of losing her husband and for medical reasons. Her PFMLA (Paid Family Medical Leave) will not begin for a few more weeks and she is struggling to make ends meet. Even when her PFMLA does start, it will only pay a fraction of what she typically earns. There was no life insurance plan nor money saved to cover expenses. My beautiful friend Cami Calder Wallin lost her beloved husband, Scott Wallin, to kidney disease on June 18, 2022. Scott & Cami we’re married in December 2020 armed with deep love and a strong faith in God. Scott embraced his role as a devoted husband and a loving stepfather to Cami’s two young sons, Jackson & Jacob. Scott took great pride in teaching and guiding the boys. Cami campaigned tirelessly to find a donor kidney for Scott, but his health prevented him from receiving one. Scott & Cami cherished the moments they had together knowing they were facing an unknown future, but praying that they would find a donor for Scott and enjoy a long life together.

There was no life insurance policy in place, therefor, funds will be used to cover expenses. Since Cami is only 39 years old, she does not qualify for Survivor Benefits. Scott’s mother and Cami are working together to ensure Scott is honored lovingly and the Go Fund Me funds will help ensure this happens. Any remaining funds will be used to ensure Cami can pay bills and continue providing for herself and her sons.
