Camie Kornely - Cycling Accident Recovery
Thank you for taking the time to visit this GoFundMe for our friend, Camie Kornely. If you're here, you likely already know that Camie was injured during a fall at the end of her final and gold-medal winning race at Masters World Track Cycling Championships.
After having a great summer on the track in the US, Camie traveled to Manchester, England to compete on the world stage and had a tremendously successful week, winning two gold medals, a silver medal, and a bronze medal.
Unfortunately, Camie's crash caused her several injuries that will prohibit her from flying home to New Jersey for a couple of weeks, and even then, flying will likely be uncomfortable. She's currently apart from her young son, Christian, and will now be away from her job as a physical education teacher for much longer than anticipated for the competition.
Camie could use our help to raise money for all of her unplanned expenses such as medical care, changes to her travel plans, time away from work, and other unplanned expenses.
A teacher and a mom, Camie's training and success on the track have been an inspiration to all of us. She's been dealt a tough blow at the end of an amazing week and would never ask for help on her own. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated.
