Approximately 8 months ago, I got a call from Layla's best friend's mom. From the moment I heard her voice I knew something was wrong. Camila was just diagnosed with an inoperable, incurable brain tumor. From that moment, everything in their lives changed. Summer and winter came and went, but through it all, Camila was a warrior. Their family continues to fight taking life day by day. Recently, Camila's family was given the news they hoped would never come. Doctors told them to prepare themselves because Camila does not have much time left. The social worker just informed her to start making arrangements for her daughter who is still living. And so here I am, asking for you to put yourself in their shoes for just one second of your time and try to feel what they are feeling. I am simply a representative for Camila's family, trying to do what I can for our friends, for Layla's friend. But I cannot do this alone, they cannot do this alone. We need help in raising money, not only for future funeral expenses, but also to allow our friends to have the ability to grieve without having the stress of financial burden.
