It’s been a devastating couple of days finding out my 5 year old daughter has a Wilms tumor on her left kidney. Originally we noticed her stomach being bloated thinking it was due to buildup of stool. We had taken her into urgent care, pcp & a gastroenterologist thinking it was stool and was eventually admitted into Valley Baptist Hospital where it was confirmed it was actually a tumor. We were transferred to Driscoll Medicial where they have the resources to treat her and after consideration brought her to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston to formulate a plan on surgery. Attached is an image showing the tumor that’s taken up so much space that it is pushing against her other organs. The oncologists & surgeons decided the kidney would need to be removed and best to prevent radiation. Surgery is scheduled for this Thursday morning hopefully all goes successful then she would need a few weeks of chemotherapy. Anything is greatly appreciated, thank you. Please share. ❤️‍
