Camille's Recovery

Donation protected
Hello Everyone! My name is Matt. I've started this campaign to raise money for my very resilient, but tired, girlfriend. A long 10-year journey has brought us to now. She is battling constant pain, fainting spells, and seizures every day. I'm looking to raise money for an upcoming surgery as well as to fund her living expenses so she can heal.

When Camille was 17 she had a major jaw surgery. Half of her face was 17-year-old bone, and the other was 9. This had been causing her pain since she was 8 years old. The surgeon inserted 27 screws and 4 metal plates. It's been 7 years since her surgery and while her face is beyond stunning, her nerves have been in excruciating pain since.

As time has crept by, Camille has learned to live a normal life. She's grown accustomed to working multiple jobs at a time just to get by. Yet somehow she managed to be the most fun, loving, and energetic person in the room. A year ago she learned to manage her pain and was hiking, climbing, and enjoying everyday activities for the first time in her adult life. She's the most hard-working person I've ever met, and getting her to rest is a chore in itself.

Since February something has shifted. Her pain increased exponentially, and all throughout the body. She reports pins and needles everywhere. Her energy levels have plummeted to the point she can barely work. She's in a state now where if she is living life for more than 4 or 5 hours, she "crashes". This means she either passes out or has a seizure. She sees a doctor two states away every 3 months for this. She's what you call a "mystery patient" where no doctor can specifically diagnose her. This has led to an absorbant amount of appointments, trial/error, and frustration. She cant enjoy everyday life anymore. She works a 6-hour shift and then needs to go home and rest. All of the outlets she once enjoyed, now just torture her that she can't participate in them. Even simple living tasks are challenging and require myself or a family member to come over and help.

To add onto an overflowing plate, one of the screws is backing its way out. You can see the screw through her gums. This is getting removed at the end of July and will cause Camille another long recovery.

Trying to work and heal is next to an impossible task. Any money raised will go directly towards medical, logistical, and living expenses. I'm hoping to get Camille some breathing room. I met a beautiful, caring, and smart woman and I'm asking for some help to heal this wonderful human being back to what she was meant to be.
