Camino walk in memory of my son James Furlong for AHFO

Starting on Wednesday 4th September, I will be walking The Camino de Santiago, a 100km long spiritual and soul nourishing pilgrimage. Every step will be for my beautiful boy, James Furlong. I know he will be by my side the whole way.

Life has been so very difficult since we lost James in the Reading Terror Attack. Our lives will never be the same. His family, friends, colleagues, all the students he taught, miss him so very much. We are so proud of him. James helped everyone he met.

I have wanted to challenge myself and raise money for a cause that involved helping children. Recently, we had another tragedy. My great-nephew Daniel, who was lost at sea off Crosby Beach. An incredible charity called An Hour for Others have done so much in Daniels memory and to help his family. So all money raised from this walk will go to support this charity in continuing their amazing work.

I know in my heart James would be so happy for me to do this. I will walk his steps, for this charity. I will continue his legacy in helping others.

Whatever kind donation you give will have a powerful impact. You will actually be making a life changing difference to a child.

There is so much to be grateful for in life. But some have so much more than others. Let's make a difference for those who don't.
