Camp 4225 Fund
Tax deductible
Part of the Sheltowee Trace Association’s long-term vision to expand opportunities along the Trace is to provide dedicated land for hikers and backpackers to utilize. For the past 4 years, the owners of a 7-acre tract along FS Road 4225 in Laurel County have allowed hikers, trail crews, backpackers, and Hiker Challenge participants to stop to rest or camp overnight. The tract has a several picnic tables and an outhouse.
Circumstances have made it possible for the STA to acquire this property and advance that vision for a rustic camp. Earlier this month, your Board of Directors unanimously approved entering into an agreement to make this purchase happen.
This will be the first time the STA has purchased property along the Trace, but it has come a bit earlier than expected. Can you help us make our long-term vision become a reality by making a tax-deductible donation toward the “Camp 4225 Fund”? We have already received one anonymous pledge of $1,000. Any amount will make an impact.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of this request.
