Camp Aquehonga SCOUTCRAFT Program Area

Because of generous support from Scouters, Alumni and friends, The Nature Trail and Lodge Project and the Shooting and Field Sports Projects were each a huge success. In a continuing effort to assist in providing quality programs for the thousands of Scouts who come to camp each year, we are now targeting the SCOUTCRAFT area. The hope is to increase the site by 50%, introduce a "Bridges to Advancement" section focussing on Scout through first class, create a cooking arena and model campsite for Cooking and Camping MBs. Backpacking, Hiking and Orienteering will be the focus of the "Finding your Way" will GPS, compass and map and contour lines kiosks. Wilderness survival MB and Woods Tools area will help with those skills and a Pioneering and Knot, splicing and lashing interactive kiosk will also be constructed to make this area worthy of the Showplace of TMR. All donations welcome but $500 gets you Gold Donor Status and a special edition bumper sticker. Thanks in advance for your help.
