Camp Cinema: Bringing Smiles to the Children of Gaza

Hello, I am Yasmeen Al-Jarba With Durgham Qarqi, the founder of the "Camp Cinema" project in Gaza. Our mission is to bring joy and a sense of normalcy to displaced children and families through the magic of cinema.

"Camp Cinema" began during the war on Gaza as a safe and simple space for children and families to gather, watch movies, and temporarily escape the harsh realities of their lives. The project was initially launched in collaboration with Gaza Freestyle and ACS Italy, starting in the refugee camps of Rafah, where the first large-scale displacement from northern Gaza occurred. As the situation escalated, we expanded to Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis, reaching even more displaced families.

While we have been grateful for the initial support from our partners, we are now launching this special fundraising campaign to independently sustain and grow "Camp Cinema." We face significant challenges due to the constant movement of camps and ongoing displacements, making it difficult to provide consistent support.

We are seeking your help to purchase mobile equipment, such as projectors, screens, and generators, and to cover transportation and logistical costs needed to move between the camps. Your donations will help keep "Camp Cinema" alive as a beacon of hope and resilience for Gaza's children and their families.
