Camp ELSO and Your Street Your Voice are joining forces to bring Black & Brown Youth STEAM programming across Oregon.
ELSO infuses diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) into STEAM and outdoor education in order to create systemic impact that elevates Black, Indigenous, People of Color communities, fills the gaps in education systems, and addresses economic barriers. Your Street Your Voice (YSYV) is an after school program where Youth get PAID to learn about the built environments and use design as a tool for racial justice. ELSO is led by BIPoC community leaders. Together, we form community partnerships to provide Racial Justice centered learning through hands-on experiences and culturally relevant education programs. We create pathways into future STEAM careers and provide paid leadership, mentorship and training.
Our BIPoC communities are facing two pandemics, Racism and COVID 19 and we need your help! Supporting ELSO and YSYV will provide paid opportunities for BIPoC youth to learn about the natural and built environment in Oregon, and create pathways into STEAM careers! Our goal is to provide year round programming for ages 5 - Emerging Professionals and support their families.
This is your chance to play a small role with huge impact by supporting a BIPoC led organization in your community. Justice and systemic change requires ACTION. Be a part of the CHANGE!
Help us reach our goal of $50,000 by donating to our Go Fund Me account. Thank you in advance for your support!
