Camp for Kids at Rondeau Yacht Club

Hello! My name is Jaime Hauseman. I am a cottage owner in Rondeau Provincial Park and competitive runner . I am organizing a run/ walk/ jog in partnership with RYC on November 20th at 9am to raise funds to allow the RYC to offer free camp to kids who otherwise could not attend.

 

We will have a 5km and 10km out and back course available (it will be on Lakeshore Rd). We do not have official timing so we encourage those to bring a watch to time themselves! Donations are welcomed for those running - any amount is appreciated - and also those who want to donate are encouraged to do so through this link as well. Please meet near the TENNIS COURTS in Rondeau Park before 8:45 so we can have a prompt 9AM START!

 

For those who cannot make a financial donation - there are a few things race morning I could use help with.

 

I sent my 4 year old for a week of camp this past summer and the skills and independence she developed in such a short period of time was unbelievable. It made me want to make this camp more accessible to others.

 

The goal would be to send 1 kid to camp each week of their summer offerings. This would be ~$2000 as each week is $205.
