Camp international Peru 2024 Alex Owen

Imagine being 16, just finished your GCSE’s and you’re given the opportunity to go across the world for 4 weeks and make a huge difference in so many lives. To be able to help build schools for unfortunate communities, build green houses so that these communities can learn to become self sufficient, help to rebuild the Amazon Rainforest by planting more trees. Having a input like that as such a young person will surely help them grow into compassionate adults, and we all know the world needs more of them!!

My son, Alex, has been invited by Camp International to do exactly this. This isn’t a holiday, he’s going to have to work hard and go through a lot mentally and physically to complete this adventure of a lifetime. If you know Alex you know he’s not scared of a challenge and puts is heart and soul into everything he does, he never does things by halves. He came out of the womb busy. From playing football, being in scouts from the minute he could shake a stick, now in cadets and even returning back to scouts to help give those little ones the same chances he had. He’s been a very expensive child to have but all this has moulded him into being the caring young person he is. He loves a challenge and if that challenge can make a difference in someone else’s life, this is where his soul sings! But the hard work doesn’t start in 2024, it starts right now………..

This is where I am asking for your help in any way you can, to ask anyone you can to help how they can too. We can’t all go to Peru but we can all have an input to help make a difference. We need to do some serious fundraising for the trip.

As a well know supermarket says ‘Every little helps’ and this couldn’t be more true right now.

. He’s just a kid who wants to give back to the world, a once in a lifetime opportunity. Let’s help get him there!!!
