Jorge’s Camp Kenya School Trip 2024

Hi my name is Jorge Matthews and I’m in Year 9, I have the chance of a lifetime to go on a school trip to Kenya for 4 weeks in 2024. I go to Tytherington High School in Macclesfield.

I will work with the tribes and get to see full daily Kenyan life. I’ll be fully involved with the communities each day. Also getting to know the children and apparently getting beaten at football by them haha.

I’ll help with school improvements and conservation work.

I’ll get to meet the world famous Maasai tribe and spend days working on sustainable projects helping support the local community, wildlife and environment.

I’ll also have a chance to scuba dive and get a PADI dive qualification.

To have all this experience on my CV for later in life will be such an achievement.

Camps International advise to fundraise to raise towards the cost and learn how to commit to earning money.

We do appreciate times are hard and would be so grateful of any small help even if it’s just a £1.

Funds raised will be used towards the cost of the trip which is £4580 and buying the relevant kit needed.

I will be selling toys and games I no longer use to help raise funds.

Raffle tickets for sale £1 per strip or 6 for £5. Upto now 30 great prizes are available 

Raffle will be drawn at the end of February 

Sunday 26th February we will be at the treacle market with raffle books and various other items
