Camp Lawrence Climbing Tower

Camp Lawrence will be installing 6x telephone poles for 2 ziplines this summer and has a unique opportunity to simultaneously install a climbing wall on the faces of these telephone poles. The climbing wall would provide an additional climbing surface for up to 6 children/adults at one time. Camp Lawrence presently has insufficient funds to purchase supplies for the climbing wall and pay for the zipline installation. Therefore, Alumni and Staff are collecting additional funds to purchase lumber, climbing holds, etc. for the installation of the climbing wall.

We projected that we will need $6,000 to reach our goal to purchase enough supplies to build the climbing wall this summer...and are still $4,000 short! The building equipment is already on the island which affords us a unique opportunity to install both ziplines and a climbing wall simultaneously (which will significantly reduce the cost of building a climbing wall in the future). Alex Kramer will be coordinating the installation process through his connections at Project Adventure.

We are asking for donations and anyone’s time to help us raise these funds to hit our goal over the summer of 2017. Any additional funds past our goal will be donated to the Camp Lawrence Ropes Course for additional equipment, supplies, and maintenance repairs.
