Camp Oro Quay's mission is to “To provide resources where children and adults can come and learn about the Bible and the importance of knowing Jesus Christ as their personal Savior", and they have done that, thousands and thousands of times over.
I met my wife there, have grown to love their family, worked as volunteer staff there for five years and lived there for the last two. There, I largely became the man I am today and solidified my relationship with Jesus before carrying the gospel out to the world, and I know the same story belongs to countless others who have come there over the decades.
This season, Camp Oro Quay needs you.
In the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown, the camp has lost out on a very significant portion of it's business for the summer with groups cancelling all the way through until June.
This means the camp has lost half of it's yearly revenue.
The staff are trusting God to get the camp through if He wants, and we are as well. This is simply an opportunity for you to help give back to this ministry if you feel led. I know I do.
If you have been affected by this ministry, I challenge you to share your wealth with the camp and contribute.
And more importantly, keep the camp, and it's owners (the only full time staff), the Bells, in your prayers.
God is faithful, and we look forward to seeing how He shows that in this crisis.
