CAMP PHOENIX 2020 AT THE BAYNES FAMILY FARM
Donation protected
Happy New Year! Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Camp Phoenix 2020, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
Our residential summer adventure provides underprivileged children with a full sleep away camp experience where the primary objective is to for them to have FUN while providing them with a sense of HOPE.
Last summer, through youru generous donations, we hosted our third Camp Phoenix at the Baynes Family Farm (BFF). Our 24 boys and girls, ages 7-11 years old, had a blast!!! Many campers experienced for the first time, camping classics such as fishing, hiking, swimming, arts and crafts, gardening, outdoor movies, water Olympics, cooking demonstrations, and of course the tried and true blazing bonfire, camp songs and smores! The last day of camp featured family day where the children were able to share their experiences with their parents and siblings. Many of the parents were overwhelmed with the new levels of confidence and growth that they saw in their children.
The overwhelmingly positive feedback from our campers, coupled with their huge smiles (check out the Camp Phoenix video), compel us to host Camp Phoenix 2020!!!
Camp Phoenix is hosted on a 100-year-old family farm, the Baynes Family Farm, in Burlington, NC. This expansive 90-acre property includes a contemporary log cabin lodge; two fully stocked fishing ponds; a campfire pit; hiking trails; large vegetable gardens; and endless open play spaces where the stars are so bright that campers stand on their tip toes to reach out and touch them. We believe that kids have FUN while being exposed to outdoor play, gaining a stronger sense of HOPE.
Camp Phoenix is again partnering with Families Moving Forward (FMF) for the 2020 summer camp season. FMF, based in Durham, NC, provides families with children a stable, safe and loving environment while they are in the temporary crisis of homelessness.
We expect more first-time campers in 2020 and we intend to create a fun-filled experience that they will never forget!
We are rolling up our sleeves and are ready to work for the betterment of these wonderful children. Please join our efforts to provide these children a big dose of FUN and more importantly HOPE!
