Camps International Borneo Trip 2025

My name is Maisie and I am a student at Heath End in Farnham. I am participating in an expedition to Borneo in 2025.

This will be a 4 week expedition and will include community development work, environmental projects and wildlife conservation. It will also include additional elements such as a trek through the Borneo rainforest.

The core objectives of this expedition are to undertake projects in order to:

- Raise the educational standards of developing communities within a rural district of Borneo

- Raise the living standards of developing communities, within a rural district of Borneo

- Assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programs to preserve biodiversity and protect vulnerable habitats.

This expedition is extremely important to me because I feel that I will acquire and develop many important life skills like confidence, independence, being pushed out of my comfort zone and being able to help those who are less fortunate than us.

I am looking forward to this once in a life time opportunity as I can help other people lives by building the facilities that they don't have or need. I am excited as this will be pushing me out of my comfort zone and I'll be able to grow the life skills I need.
