Lily & Meg's Camps Int'l Expedition to Ecuador

Our names are Lily and Meg and we are students at Holyrood Academy in Chard. In 2025 we will be participating in an expedition to Ecuador and The Galapagos to take part in community development work, environmental projects and wildlife conservation.

The core objectives of this expedition are to undertake projects which:

- Raise the educational standards of developing communities within a rural district of Ecuador.

- Raise the living standards of developing communities, within a rural district of Ecuador.

- Assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programs to preserve biodiversity and protect vulnerable habitats.

This expedition is extremely important to us because not only will we acquire and develop many important life skills such as teamwork, leadership skills, communication skills, independence and problem solving skills, but we will also be able to actively contribute to saving the environment and supporting communities in a very hands on way.

In order to participate in this once in a lifetime trip, we have to raise £5,750 each. We plan to break our fundraising efforts down in to a series of local events and activities and will share details through our Facebook page as these are confirmed. But in the meantime, and for those of you who aren't local, any small donation can help, so we are setting up this GoFundMe page to make that possible.
