Camps International Kenya Trip 2025

Hello, my name is Alfred. I have recently been accepted onto Camps International programme to visit Kenya in 2025. This is an incredible opportunity and a first working in conjunction with Wadham School, Crewkerne. Camps International are award winning global leaders in ethical and sustainable expeditions. They help inspire young minds to build a better world that we can share and gives us the opportunity to connect with people from across the world.

Throughout my time in Kenya I’ll get involved in a range of projects, helping to support education and community development in two rural communities.

I’ll become part of the community as I live and work alongside local people learning about the challenges they face as well as their rich tradition and culture of Kenya. This will broaden my perspective on the world and allow me to push boundaries and step outside my comfort zone. It will enable me to reach and exceed my academic and personal potential, develop valuable life skills and gain key extra-curricular experience.

Each participant is being asked to raise £4790 in order to participate. This is money we must raise ourselves through grants, part time work, events and support from individuals. I will be spending the next year walking many miles for sponsorship, making and selling crafts and organising various events. It is a challenging target and that is why I am grateful for your support in representing Crewkerne and Somerset as a whole to bring back ideas and inspiration to shape our futures. Thank you!
