CAMPS INTERNATIONAL TRIP TO KENYA JULY 2025
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amy, and I am a student at Great Sankey High School in Warrington. I am participating in an expedition to Kenya in July 2025.
This will be a 4-week expedition and will include community development work, environmental projects and wildlife conservation. It will also include additional elements scuba diving, safari, wildlife viewing, hiking and a cooking class to learn how to make the local delicacy: chapattis.
The core objectives of this expedition are to undertake projects in order to:
- Raise the educational standards of developing communities within a rural district of Kenya.
- Raise the living standards of developing communities, within a rural district of Kenya.
- Assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programs to preserve biodiversity and protect vulnerable habitats.
This expedition is extremely important to me because I feel that I will acquire and develop many important life skills such as new life skills and experiences, teamwork and leadership skills and the opportunity to experience a new culture.
I am looking forward to seeing the safari animals and being able to make a different to people’s lives. However, I am nervous to be away from home for 4 weeks, but I know that in the end it will be worth it for this once in a lifetime experience.
I would be extremely grateful for any contributions you may be able to make towards my fundraising target of £2500, which will go some way towards paying the cost of the trip.
