Cana Café: Brewing Better Futures

Cana Café began as one person’s simple vision: offer falafel lunches out of an unused kitchen in the heart of Mayfair. Today, it has grown into something truly special — a vibrant community café run entirely by volunteers who are rebuilding their lives, careers, and confidence.

Located in the London Jesuit Centre, Cana Café offers more than just delicious food and a warm welcome. We provide training, hands-on skills, and personal coaching to individuals who are homeless or unemployed, giving them the tools to regain independence and transition into sustainable employment.

But we need your help to grow.

Right now, we’re operating with a home espresso machine — and while it gets the job done, it’s not built for the demands of a real café. We’re raising £1,300 to purchase a professional-grade espresso machine, which would allow us to:

• Serve better, more consistent coffee

• Train volunteers on commercial equipment they’ll use in future jobs

• Increase revenue to support more people

• Enhance the experience for every guest who walks through our doors

If we’re able to secure a quality machine for less (ideally £800–£900), any remaining funds will go directly to other essential needs — like equipment upgrades, transportation costs, or job training resources for our volunteers.
