Canaan & Vicki's IVF Journey

Our infertility journey began in early 2016, and we are now in our 8th year of trying to expand our family. Infertility is never something we expected or something we've wanted to walk through, but God has been moving in it all and has been with us in ways we couldn't even imagine. Throughout the past 8 years, we've had many prophetic words about having a daughter and heard from the Lord numerous times (sometimes even that we'll have twins)!

Due to certain medical conditions, we've been unable to ever conceive naturally. We are working with a wonderful fertility doctor, and she is confident that we can have success again following the same plan we did back in the fall of 2017 when we conceived our son. IVF is very expensive, and Canaan & I have saved $10,000 on our own to help cover the costs that include medications, testing, and travel to/from appointments. The plan is to move forward with IVF this September.

Leading up to the conception of our son, Canaan asked God for confirmation that we’d one day have a baby of our own. He said, "God, show me anything that I would not normally see in a day." And then Canaan immediately thought of a blue balloon, and said,"'Okay, show me that." Later that night, he saw a blue balloon! Since then, balloons have been a theme for us. In fact, our son's 1st birthday party theme was "blue balloons."

Since then, my husband asked God for confirmation of a prophetic word about having a daughter, and God showed him a purple balloon. We even got a prophetic word this past Christmas declaring a "celebration involving balloons for your family." Thank you for believing in our faithfulness and partnering with us as we stand firm in God's promise of another child!
