Canales memorial expenses
Donation protected
My amazing aunt, Aurora Lizeth Canales, was unexpectedly and tragically killed in a hit and run car accident on October 24th, 2022. She was driving home from the grocery store with 5 of her children on board when the accident occurred. Three of her children sustained severe injuries and, at the time of writing this, are at Children’s hospital and expected to recover. My aunt, however, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Aurora was a hard working, single mother to eight children with ages ranging from 4 to 22 - they are Mathew, Nicole, Issac, Mireya, Jose, Marina, Diana, and David. She cherished all of her kids, celebrated their accomplishments, and always encouraged them to strive for more. Despite having a full house of her own, she also always looked out for her siblings and their children too. She spread joy and laughter wherever she went and always made those around her feel loved and comforted.
Our family is still trying to process everything that’s happened and figure out the best way to provide and care for her children that she leaves behind. Aurora was the sole provider for her kids, so now there is a void that needs to be filled on top of the grief of losing such an amazing person. On behalf of my aunt’s children and my entire family, I’m asking for any amount of assistance for all of the unexpected expenses that are about to follow. First priority will be taking care of funeral arrangements and medical bills for my three cousins currently in the hospital. Anything beyond that will go towards supporting her children to make sure their basic needs are met and are able to stay in school.
Please pray for our family during this difficult time.
