Help Families Affected by Canavan
Donation protected
I am trying to raise enough money so that families can get together at the 2019 Canavan Research Illinois Benefit and meet the leading research teams working on Canavan disease.
As the parent of a 21 year old child living with Canavan disease I know firsthand how expensive it is to raise a child with profound and multiple special needs.
On October 19th Canavan Research Illinois will hold its annual event for the 21st year. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to travel to a central location and meet others going through similar life experiences. It is my goal to raise enough money to pay for hotel rooms for up to 20 families and even help with travel costs if possible.
Families like mine are already struggling financially and I would like to do everything possible to help alleviate some of the financial burden. I do not want any family to be forced to fundraise in order to attend this event so I am hoping to do it all for them. All funds are being deposited directly to the bank account for Canavan Research Illinois, a tax exempt charitable organization to be used for helping families attend the 19th Annual Canavan Charity Ball.
If there is additional funding left after expenses are paid for all interested families funds will remain in the CRI account and be used for the Family Networking Program in 2020.
All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. If you include your email address we will send you a thank you note from CRI as well. For more information about CRI please visit our website.
