Cancer Benefit for Brian Robinson & family
Donation protected
Please join us on Sunday, August 21st, 2022, at the Strange Brew Pub in Norwich, CT from 4 pm - 8 pm for some live music, silent art auction, raffle, and more as we raise money for Brian Robinson & his family. If you cannot attend in person, please consider donating here on our GoFundMe page!
In Sept of 2021, Brian, a Norwich resident & father, was given the heartbreaking news that he has brain cancer. Test results confirmed that Brian has CNS lymphoma, a rare non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It is an aggressive and fast-growing cancer.
Since then, Brian had to recover from Covid, undergo several cycles of chemotherapy, recover from an infection, and complete a stem cell replacement. Most of his medical care has been provided by the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. His brain tumors have shrunken, sometimes growing again and requiring additional chemo.
As of June, Brian received great news! He was cancer free! Unfortunately, this did not last. This July, he fell ill again, and cancer was discovered in his spinal fluid. He has been scheduled for additional chemotherapy.
Brian and his family have shown an enormous amount of patience and perseverance as they’ve navigated all the doctors appointments, long drives to NYC, trying to maintain an income, raising a family, and the general unknown that comes with cancer.
Brian will be out of work for the foreseeable future. Please help us provide financial comfort to Brian, Shawna, Teagan, Owen & Lorelei during this difficult time. They are an incredibly kind family who helps others whenever possible. Let’s do the same for them!
All proceeds from the art auction, raffle, and donations at the door will go to Brian & his family to cover medical expenses and lost income.
Thank you for your support!
