Cancer Care for Shop Cat Paul
Donation protected
Hi friends of Paul. First of all, thank you for being here. I'm "aunty Michelle". Sister to Paul's mom, Cindy, and mom to Paul's "brother", William.
As many of you know, we adopted Paul from Seattle Humane Society in Bellevue, WA in the summer of 2019. He was the first cat we saw. Even with a broken tooth, severe gingivitis, and being FIV+, we knew Paul was meant to be with us. He lived at our shop for six months before the Health Dept told us he wasn't allowed to be there. During that short time, he captured the hearts of many of our customers. Thus we created his Instagram account, @ShopCatPaul.
Fast forward to today. After a visit to HHVH on 10/12/22 for what Cindy believed to be bad constipation. X-rays, bloodwork, and hours at the hospital concluded that both his kidneys were enlarged. A sign of cancer. We were referred to an oncologist to confirm that Paul has cancer, most likely Renal Lymphoma. The ultrasound on 10/13/22 has shown he has tumorous masses on his kidneys. We are devastated and heartbroken for our Paul. Utterly shocked that our strong Paul is sick. Paul is a fighter and we are going to fight for Paul. We are pursuing chemotherapy and all other appropriate treatment that has been recommended to us by the oncologist. We will be utilizing the funds raised for the following:
- Hawthorne Hills Vet Hospital bill for the pre-diagnosis - $,1200
- Seattle Veterinary Specialist Blue Pearl in Kirkland emergency visit including ultrasound, needle aspirate, chest Xray, additonal blood work, and overnight stays - $5,000
- Oncologist bills for diagnosis, treatment plan, Chemotherapy - $10,000
- All necessary treatments to fight the Lymphoma, kidney issues, and his heart heart murmer - $10,000
- Medications, prescription food, and other resources to care for Paul long-term - $5,000
We love Paul, and we know you love Paul. Thank you for loving him and being his second family.
