CÁNCER, COVID AND HURRICANES!

Hello everyone! Thank you very much for taking your time to read this request for help and support. We are collecting donations to help my father Alejandro Pommier with severals Hospital and treatment expenses. He was diagnosed with Stage 3 Lymphatic Cancer and a kidney tumor on November 2019. No one is prepared to receive news like this about someone we love! After Thanksgiving dinner in 2019, he was rushed to the emergency room and was hospitalized for a month fighting for his life. He then miraculously began to improve little by little and was finally discharged. During this year, he’s received chemotherapy treatments and has had many tests done. Now with the year coming to an end, we are very happy to see him doing well, still sick, but stable. This November, we had a completely different Thanksgiving than we had last year. It was so nice to see his eyes with hope and his smile from having his whole family gathered with him. This year has been very difficult for both my parents: with the diagnosis of his cancer and all that it entails, and also living in this time of a pandemic that has so many limitations. Both my parents were infected with Covid-19, and they spent a month recovering from the side effects. It was good news that they have been healed when many have died from the same thing. On the other hand, they also experienced Hurricane Laura and Delta that hit directly where they live, in Lake Charles Louisiana. There was a lot of destruction and once again a feeling of loss in everyone. They were living without electricity and internet for a long time, but thankfully are now finally returning to their normal schedule little by little. Hurricane season is finally over and the rebuilding of the city continues. My dad will continue with his treatment and will have several tests that decide what steps he should take for his well being. As you can see, they need our help! You don't have to donate a large amount, anything counts! What you can give will certainly be of great help and support to them! Estamos recolectando donaciones para ayudar a mi papá Alejandro Pommier con diferentes gastos de hospital y tratamiento. Se le diagnosticó con cáncer linfático en etapa 3 y un tumor renal en noviembre de 2019. Nadie está preparado para recibir una noticia como esta de alguien a quien amamos! Después de la cena de Acción de Gracias en 2019, lo llevaron de urgencia a la sala de emergencias y fue hospitalizado por un mes donde estuvo luchando por su vida. Luego, milagrosamente comenzó a mejorar poco a poco y finalmente fue dado de alta. Durante este año, recibió tratamientos de quimioterapia y le realizaron muchas pruebas. Ahora que el año está llegando a su fin, estamos muy contentos de verlo bien, todavía enfermo, pero estable. Este noviembre, tuvimos un Día de Acción de Gracias completamente diferente al del año pasado. Fue tan agradable ver sus ojos con esperanza y su sonrisa de felicidad por tener a toda su familia reunida con él. Este año ha sido muy difícil para mis papás: el diagnóstico de su cáncer y todo lo que esto conlleva. Viviendo esta enfermedad en época de pandemia que tiene tantas limitaciones. Mis papás se contagiaron con Covid-19 y los dos pasaron un mes recuperándose de los efectos secundarios. Fue una buena noticia saber que ya estaban sanos cuando muchos han fallecido por lo mismo. Por otro lado, también experimentaron los huracanes Laura y Delta que golpearon directamente donde viven, en Lake Charles Louisiana. Hubo mucha destrucción y una vez más un sentimiento de pérdida en todos. Vivieron sin electricidad e internet durante mucho tiempo, pero afortunadamente ahora finalmente están poco a poco regresando a la normalidad. La temporada de huracanes finalmente ha terminado y la reconstrucción de la ciudad continúa. Mi papá seguirá con su tratamiento y tiene varios exámenes programados que ayudarán al Doctor a decidir qué pasos seguir para continuar la lucha contra Cáncer. Como puede ver, necesitan nuestra ayuda! No tienes que donar una gran cantidad, ¡todo cuenta! ¡Lo que puedas darles sin duda será de gran ayuda y apoyo para ellos!
