Cancer Fund for Paddy Wardana

In spring of 2022, Paddy was diagnosed with an aggressive and incurable form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The average life expectancy is 3-5 years, and he is in stage 3.

Paddy’s story has been one of resilience, kindness, and hard work. He came from Bali, Indonesia with nothing, and has worked for every single thing in his life with no handouts. He has taken care of multiple family members, putting 4 through trade school or college. He is the son of a rice farmer who grew up in third world poverty. His journey has always been nothing short of miraculous. He is unendingly kind and generous. Put short, he is one of the good guys, and we all are better for knowing him.

We face what most families with cancer face: piles of medical bills, lost wages from both his sickness and my missing work to be with him, travel expenses, emotional exhaustion, and grief. One of our goals is for him to go to Bali to see his family before he is too sick to travel. (All of his family is in Bali.)

We would like to spend the next part of his life focusing on making the most of his time left and not financial overwhelm. If anyone deserves to be taken care of and supported it’s Paddy. It’s his turn to receive all the good he has shown to so many.
