Cancer Has Caused a Hardship.

Hi, my name is Pam Kirby. I have set up this GoFundMe for my sister, Sandra Kirby Hobson. Sandra has been a nurse and paramedic for over 30 years, helping people, taking care of the sick and saving lives!! Now she is in need of our help!! She was diagnosed with Kidney cancer in May 2023 and had to have her right kidney removed in June 2023. She has gone through treatments and has been off work since May 2023. She was supposed to return to work pending no more problems, but of course, problems arose with the treatments for the kidney cancer, but were looking hopeful until just a few weeks ago. While doing her normal monthly breast checks in the shower like we are all supposed to do, she noticed a knot that wasn’t there before. She had a biopsy done which came back positive for breast cancer. It was caught early which is very hopeful and without skipping a beat, she scheduled a bilateral mastectomy to eliminate the cancer altogether. The tumor has been removed, but they have since found more in her lymph nodes. She will be undergoing 3 different types of chemotherapy and then radiation. She has a long road ahead of her. In the meantime, she has exhausted her short term disability from being off with the Kidney cancer and is in need of some financial support to get through the next several months of healing now from the breast cancer, mastectomy and the upcoming chemotherapy and radiation.
